The Identity Services Team, within Information Technology Services (ITS), at Iowa State University is seeking qualified candidates for a Systems Analyst position. Depending on the level of experience, the individual may be hired as a Systems Analyst I orÂ II.Â ITSÂ provides core computing, network services, enterprise systems, and information security resources to students, faculty, and staff.Â ITSÂ also collaborates with technology experts campus wide to provide IT resources to academic and business units. The Identity Service Team mission is to provide and maintain effective IT solutions in the areas of identity, communication, and collaboration critical to the success of students, faculty, and staff in their academic, research and operational endeavors. The System Analyst is responsible for onsite and remote support needs for our customers. This position will ensure the campus and customersâ needs are addressed by focusing on architecture, design and implementation of visionary technology solutions. This relates to a multitude of technologies and includes but is not limited to Okta, ISUâs identity and access management solution, Active Directory, Office 365, G Suite for Education solutions, and Linux mail servers.
The Systems Analyst I will work as part of a team to implement and maintain technology solutions for campus. The position will work closely with other IT staff and vendors to plan and maintain technology solutions, as well as provide second or third tier support to campus IT users.
In addition to the above, the Systems AnalystÂ IIÂ will lead and participate on teams to plan, implement and maintain technology solutions for campus. This position will act as a technology lead on campus wide projects and initiatives, work closely with other IT staff and vendors to identify and implement appropriate technology solutions to the campus environment, as well as provide second or third tier support to campus IT users.
Successful candidates should have a passion for helping customers leverage technology to improve their effectiveness. In addition, the candidate will possess the ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once; strong communication skills, written and oral; the ability to work successfully in agile, team-oriented environments; strong customer service orientation and ethics; ability to collaborate with others positively and successfully; strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills.
Systems Analyst I:High school diploma or equivalent (paygrade PS807)
Systems Analyst II: High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of related experience (paygrade PS809)
