Student Health Services is seeking a per diem nurse practitioner to provide clinical coverage regarding covid-19 test results on weekends, weeknights, holidays and during other times when clinical coverage is required. The nurse practitioner will be responsible for monitoring the laboratory results system, and managing all covid related tasks due to positive or inconclusive covid-19 test results that are electronically reported during their shift. This is a remote position, which will report to the Director of Medical Services.
In addition to current NYS licensure as an adult or family nurse practitioner, (ANP or FNP) successful candidates will have telehealth experience, or comfort with virtual meeting platforms, experience with electronic health records, strong organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, empathy and compassion.

Monitor Binx provider portal (or other testing provider) for incoming covid-19 test results throughout shift
Contact students and inform them of positive covid-19 test results
Provide instructions as per Medical Services protocol for covid related home isolation
PerformTelemedicine evaluations for covid positive students who are symptomatic
Identify New School Contacts of students who test positive for covid-19
Contact New School covid-19 contacts and provide quarantine instructions as per Medical Services protocol.
Follow Medical Services protocol regarding additional notifications related to positive covid-19 test results.
Document all student encounters in the electronic health record.
Communicate with the Director of Medical Services as directed.
Current NYS licensure as a registered Nurse Practitioner in Adult or Family Health.
Master's Degree in Nursing
Three years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
Experience with electronic health record documentation
Telehealth or virtual meeting experience.
Experience in College Health or school based health care is a plus
