The Yale School of Medicine is seeking a full-timeÂ faculty member at the rank of Instructor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Program in Addiction Medicine and the Section of General Internal Medicine. This individual will be considered Core faculty in the Program in Addiction Medicine with primary responsibilities on the inpatient Yale Addiction Medicine Consult Service. The individual should be passionate about hospital-based Addiction Medicine and medical education.
The individual who fills this position will provide direct clinical care for patients with substance use disorders in both the inpatient and outpatient settings and participate in activities related to addiction medicine education at the undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education levels. The ideal applicant will be academically oriented, have demonstrated excellent Addiction Medicine consult service-based patient care and teaching skills, a commitment to scholarship in Addiction Medicine, and be board certified or board eligible in a general medical specialty and Addiction Medicine. Â
The position carries a full-time faculty appointment at Yale School of Medicine as an Instructor. Academic responsibilities will include teaching and supervision of fellows, residents, advanced practice professionals and students, curriculum development, and clinical research opportunities.
