The Yale University School of Nursing (www.nursing.yale.edu) invites applications from (and nominations of) highly qualified candidates for the position of Associate Dean for Research. Successful candidates must possess a PhD or equivalent research degree in nursing science or other relevant biological and/or behavioral science, public health, health services, or social science disciplines, and significant research experience as a senior/principal investigator. Several years of administrative experience are preferred.

The Associate Dean for Research directly contributes to the Yale School of Nursing mission by guiding the schoolâ€™s growth of our research portfolio in the improvement of health and reduction of health inequities, including racism. The Associate Dean for Research will be a senior leader with an established research program and strong track record in mentoring early career and peer faculty in scientific development and productivity. The applicant needs to be eligible for an appointment as Associate Professor or Professor, with tenure. The Associate Dean for Research will have responsibility for oversight of the Yale School of Nursing Office of Research, including faculty development and mentoring, fostering research initiatives within the school and across Yale, collaborating with national and international colleagues, and working closely with federal, regional, and private funders. The Office of Research, which includes a state-of-the-art Center for Biobehavioral Research, provides support for faculty in design, methods, and statistical consulting, proposal development, peer review, and centralized grant submission services, post-award management and oversight, and fostering of scholarly partnerships within the school and across Yale.
