The Department of Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations at Yale University invites applicants for a full-time teaching position of Lector of Modern Standard Arabic to begin July 2021. The appointment is for up to three years, with possibility of renewal.
Responsibilities consist of teaching five or six courses per academic year, comprising a combination of Modern Standard Arabic and Colloquial Arabic, at all levels; advising Arabic students; working in close collaboration with the other Arabic language instructors; assisting in strengthening the Arabic program, including curriculum and materials development; and supporting outreach activities. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
