The candidate is responsible for developing and researching on emerging commercial unmanned aerial systems (UAS) Network: Safety and Operations Implications on National Aerospace Systems Integration.
- Ph.D. or MS in civil, mechanical, aerospace, computer or any related engineering area or computer science - experience in connected vehicle research on traffic systems
ABDs or degree pending considered (all but DISS):
- Background in FHWA open source traffic simulations - Background in advanced computing -Traffic Operation Management Research Experience -A record of successful scientific publications - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Traffic Operation Management Research Experience - Experience with programming (C++ and Fortran) - Deep knowledge of traffic network simulation and optimization - Familiarity with UAV and UAV operations
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Highly dynamic office environment. Candidate should be able to work long hours with computer.
