The University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, Amyloidosis and Cancer Theranostics Program is seeking applicants for a full-time, non-tenure, Assistant Professor position.
Duties for this position includes supervision of undergraduate, graduate, and resident researchers as needed. Research activities, as appropriate include research into amyloid related therapeutics and diagnostics, including:
production of protein-based amyloid binding agents using cell-based systems;
radiolabeling proteins and their evaluation;
maintain radiation license as needed;
development and characterization of immunoglobulin Fc-fusion constructs and bioactive peptides;
molecular biology techniques and protein design;
other assays as they are developed and needed;
preparation of manuscripts and grants;
support ongoing efforts of the program in all collaboration with other members of the group;
develop directions as appropriate.
minimum 3 years of research experience in a laboratory setting
immunological techniques, cell culture, animal research skills
proficiency in academic writing and presentation of scientific data
Multidisciplinary laboratory research experience
