Exciting position available for a Clinical Nutrition Specialist in The Optimal Wellness for Life (OWL) program at Boston Children's Hospital. This is a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of children with insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and other weight-related health complications. Position is 20-hours/week and based in Waltham, MA.
This Clinical Nutrition Specialist will be responsible for:
Providing nutritional care to patients on assigned units and clinics.
Evaluating the medical, biochemical, and nutritional information and assessing patient needs in order to develop and implement the most appropriate nutrition care plans.
Assisting in the supervision of the daily work of the dietetic technician.
To qualify, you must have:
A Bachelor's degree in nutrition and one year of dietetic experience, preferably in pediatrics.
Registration by Commission on Dietetic Registration, the Credentialing agency of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, as a Registered Dietitian.
Licensure by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a licensed Dietitian.
Analytical skills to resolve complex problems requiring the use of scientific, mathematical, or technical principles and in-depth, experienced-based knowledge.
Good communication skills to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions and well-developed writing skills
Spanish language skills a plus

This position is 60% Waltham /40% Boston based, and eligible for part time benefits
