The Russ College of Engineering and Technology, Department of Aviation is seeking a highly motivated individual to become an integral member of a multi-talented and diverse group of professionals. The successful candidate will be a high energy visionary and goal-oriented individual with civil, military or collegiate aviation experience to support our aviation programs.
The growing Department of Aviation serves more than 100 students in both the Aviation Management and Flight Option concentrations. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills and experience to work effectively with faculty, students, staff, and administrators from diverse backgrounds. They should demonstrate the ability to use technology effectively in classroom and flight instruction.
The successful candidate will instruct in the undergraduate aviation programs, provide student advising and fulfill service commitments within the departmental, college, and university communities.
Bachelor's degree in aviation or aviation related field.
FAA certifications and ratings appropriate for 14 CFR Part 141 instruction.
Flexibility to instruct courses in the aviation management and flight operations majors.
At least 5 years of professional aviation experience.
Strong interpersonal, written, and communication skills.
Willingness to work with a diverse student base.
Master's degree in aviation or aviation related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
10 or more years of airline flight operations, military aviation, or commercial flight operations.
Previous teaching experience in a collegiate aviation program.
