The Peer Review Clinical Informatics Specialist IV- is responsible for triaging, designing, managing, and delivering the clinical analytics needs of our Peer Review Program. This includes developing trigger reports with feedback from Quality Improvement Representatives and Patient Safety team that detail rates based metrics within each service that can be reported for each provider or service. In addition to maintaining data quality, data reliability and ensures productivity standards.
Level 4:Technical leader with a high degree of knowledge in the overall field and recognized expertise in specific areas; problem-solving frequently requires analysis of unique issues/problems without precedent and/or structure. May manage programs that include formulating strategies and administering policies, processes, and resources; functions with a high degree of autonomy.
In order to serve in this role, it will require a robust understanding of Epic reporting workbench, Epic Radar, Crystal, in addition to being highly proficient in Epic Clarity, SQL Programming Language and building complex data tableaus. A solid understanding of the OMOP data architecture is vastly desired. The individual must have the ability to vision cross enterprise solutions that can be re-purposed into multiple workflows.
Clinical Informatics/Application Professional 4:As a technical leader in clinical applications, applies advanced professional concepts and extensive industry knowledge to lead and/or work on medium to large projects of broad scope and complexity. May be recognized expert of an area of focus of business in clinical applications.
Key Responsibilities:Provide support to clinical review team through knowledge of clinical processes, documentation needs, workflows, and practice standards, when adapting software to meet their needs. Works with clinicians to prepare detailed specs encompassing clinical processes, information flow, risk and impact analysis. May provide customer service, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.
Nine (9) years of related experience, education/training in healthcare analytics, healthcare quality payment programs, population health analytics, and healthcare data OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus five (5) years of related experience/training in healthcare analytics, healthcare quality payment programs, population health analytics, and healthcare data.
Professional experience and proven success performing clinical workflows, user interface optimization, clinical decision support, rules development, data integration and mining, clinical ontologies and adoption of technology.
Five years (5+) or more + SQL Programming language.
Certified in multiple Epic clarity data models.
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
