The IU Alumni Association (IUAA) brings over 700,000 IU graduates together to support one another and Indiana University throughout their lives. The IUAA activates IU's powerful global network through live events, webinars, scholarship programs, and seriously fun traditions. The association is a membership organization that connects alumni, students and friends through communications, activities, programs, and services. Additionally, it develops and supports volunteer leadership, serving as a voice for alumni as the university evolves and providing lifelong learning opportunities.
The IU Alumni Association Career and Professional Development Team (CPD) is working to provide assistance with helping our young alumni transition from student to professional. The CPD team is in charge of carrying out research and planned programming to provide both professional and educational opportunities relevant to Graduates Of the Last Decade (GOLD).
Duties of the Fellow will include:
Assist with researching and building a GOLD engagement strategy.
Participate in cross-functional team meetings around this topic.
Establish best practices for engaging GOLDs in IUAA's digital platforms (Virtual Alumni Community/Career North).
Partner with marketing where appropriate (new grad fair, social media, etc.).
Co-plan, facilitate, host virtual events for GOLDs.
Students hired will have two roles in the Alumni Association:
Leadership for the Student Alumni Association (SAA), IUAA's official student group that collaborates on SAA outreach, Homecoming and all Homecoming-related events.
A Team Member in one of the individual IUAA department.
This position is for Academic Year 2021-2022 with the potential to extend to future semesters.
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University.
Team-oriented. Communication skills including, listening, facilitating conversation, and written communication. Problem-solving skills. Attention to detail. Organization skills, including organization of data and research.
An interest in professional, leadership, and/or career development.
