UW Medical Center – Montlake has an outstanding opportunity for a full-time (100% FTE, 40 hours per week), day shift REGISTERED NURSE to join our Ambulatory Float Pool. Our Ambulatory Float Pool provides short term and long term staffing coverage for planned and unplanned absences throughout Montlake ambulatory clinics. The Registered Nurse will float to ambulatory units for ad hoc and ongoing assignments and will be responsible for managing the continuum of patient care in various ambulatory settings. The Registered Nurse will support a wide variety of practices, including primary care, sports medicine, surgical services, and medical specialties.
SCHEDULE: The Registered Nurse will work Monday-Friday from 8:00am - 4:30pm.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:
Monitoring patient flow in multiple ambulatory settings
Performing patient triage, in person and via telehealth
Providing independent patient assessments in primary care and specialty settings
Administering medications and injections
Coordinating medical and nursing care across the UW Medicine system
Documenting patient care outcomes in our EHR system (Epic)
Assisting with minimally invasive ambulatory procedures
2 years of current or recent medical-surgical or ambulatory nursing experience
An active Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington
4+ years of recent outpatient nursing experience
Recent phone triage experience
Familiarity with Epic EHR software
