The Department of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) at Regis College seeks an Adjunct Professor for the fall 2021 semester specializing in Biomedical Engineering. Classes begin September 7, 2021. Courses may include Circuits and Sensors, Transport and Fluids, and/or Biomedical Instrumentation. The ideal candidate would be able to commit to teaching two courses in the semester. It is expected that anyone hired for this position would teach in-person at the Weston, MA campus.
An earned MS in Biomedical Engineering or similar.
Demonstrated evidence—through education or industry experience—of specializations in medical devices, instrumentation and/or bioprocessing
Demonstrated evidence of at least three years of prior classroom teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Ability to uphold the University's commitment to inclusive excellence in a diverse learning community.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other STEM faculty to ensure consistency across class sections as needed.
Familiarity with the learning management system Moodle is preferred but not required.
Renewal for reappointment beyond the fall 2021 semester is contingent upon performance effectiveness as determined by the Dean of School of Arts & Sciences, Program Director of Biomedical Engineering, and the Department Chair of STEM.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Normal office environment, not subject to extremes in noise, odors, etc.
May spend extended periods at terminal, on telephone, or operating other office machines requiring eye-hand coordination and finger dexterity.
