The George Mason University, Office of Admissions is seeking a self-motivated, results-oriented individual to fill the position of International Credential Specialist. Track receipt, evaluation, and dissemination of credentials for evaluation;
Provide accurate and timely international credential evaluations and information on post-secondary institutions;
Stay up-to-date on credential evaluation standards, best educational practices, and the latest information on academic policy regarding international admissions standards at the undergraduate- and graduate-level;
Produce period reports on credential evaluation statistics;
Develop and maintain working relationships with graduate units and other stakeholders;
Maintain a positive and flexible attitude and provide constructive feedback within the team;
Work in collaboration with other team members across the university and the Admissions Office to ensure excellent customer service;
Assist with other Office of Admissions projects, duties, and events as assigned.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
Superior written and oral communication skills;
Strong analytical skills;
Ability to prioritize tasks in a hectic, deadline-driven environment often working on multiple tasks concurrently;
Comfortable working with diverse populations;
Ability to handle sensitive and/or confidential information and situations;
Computer literate and willing to learn new software applications;
Demonstrated ability to work positively as a team member;
Available for evening and weekend work.
Previous admissions experience;
Experience with international credential evaluation.
Salary: Salary commensurate with education and experience.
