Under general direction, supports the Occupational Science & Occupational Therapy Department in services provided for students within all academic programs, including recruitment, admission, registration, retention initiatives, progressions, and graduation; assists the Academic Fieldwork Coordinator with scheduling and follow-up of student fieldwork assignments; prepares and maintains databases and a variety of software/programs as needed to input and analyze data and prepare reports; Â prepare and update marketing materials; gathers and maintains accurate and confidential records and files; assists with general office administration as necessary; utilize and train student workers to assist with various functions; represents department at the front desk.
Serves as initial contact person regarding student services; disseminates information and distributes materials; supports student-related responsibilities including, but not limited to, recruitment, enrollment and admission tracking, student progression and retention tracking, responding to requests for information and updating Banner and student databases; supports all students within the Departments academic programs.
Under the direction of the Academic Field Coordinator, assists with fieldwork placements as well as answers calls and follow-up for fieldwork placements, tracks fieldwork requirements through specialized fieldwork software.
Meets with current, transfer, and prospective students; coordinates the post-bac central application processes; prepares post-bac and transfer applicant files for review; hosts orientation sessions.
Maintains and revises classroom schedules in Banner; updates curriculum as necessary; reviews and updates website information and marketing materials; prepares accreditation-related reports; assists department faculty with online student testing software as needed.
Interacts with students on a regular basis, including assisting with mentor appointments, maintaining scholarship information, survey dissemination and response tracking; ; assists in the student registration process as necessary; participates in the academic and professional progression committee and meetings; maintains student records and generates basic reports; handles multiple projects, confidential issues and sensitive records on a regular basis.
Assists with supervision of student workers; coordinates and performs administrative services as requested; assists and serves as back-up of other administrative staff; schedules labs; assists with events and meetings; supports alumni through maintaining files and databases.
