Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Types manuscripts, abstracts, and/or protocols from straight draft, notes or transcribing machine; performs secretarial duties requiring knowledge of specialized medical/scientific terminology; processes billing sheets.
Processes various materials, composes and types routine correspondence, memos, letters, reports, etc.; schedules appointments and arranges meetings; schedules tests, surgeries, procedures and patient consultations; may perform pre-admission certification; prepares and assembles conference and meeting materials.
Answers phone; refers, routes, or places calls; files correspondence and records; maintains inventory; responds to requests for information; receives, sorts, and distributes mail; may maintain supervisors calendar.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications :
High school diploma; supplemented with two (2) years secretarial experience which includes one (1) year using medical/scientific terminology.
