Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, is seeking applicants for a full-time faculty position in Infectious Diseases in the Department of Pediatrics and Department of Internal Medicine (joint appointment) at Saint Louis University School of Medicine and SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital. Candidates must have a M.D. degree and be board-certified or board-eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases and licensure in the State of Missouri or eligible for such. Teaching of medical students, resident, fellows, community providers and NNPs will be required. A strong commitment to research, clinical and/or laboratory experience is desirable.
Duties within the Department of Pediatrics will include inpatient consultative service and an outpatient ID clinic (50% effort). The combined medical staff includes over 150 full time site-based Saint Louis University School of Medicine faculty. Patient care activities are based at SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital located immediately adjacent to the Saint Louis University Health Sciences Center in midtown St. Louis. SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Childrens Hospital is a 190 bed, free-standing tertiary care childrens hospital with a complete range of surgical and medical pediatric subspecialties. The remaining 50% will be spent conducting research with the Center for Vaccine Development serving as a PI or Co-PI on clinical trials.
