Bucknell University's Department of Physics & Astronomy invites interested candidates to apply for a position as a Visiting Assistant Professor for the 2021-22 academic year, beginning in August 2021. A commitment to teaching excellence is essential, and the annual teaching load is six courses or their equivalent over two semesters. By the start date of the position, candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. or be ABD in physics, astronomy or a related field.

The Department of Physics & Astronomy is a fully undergraduate department with 14 tenured and tenure-track faculty with active research programs, and support provided by a lab coordinator, an administrative assistant, and machining/electronics staff.
