Clinical Research Specialist (Assistant Level) Department of Dermatology, UC Irvine
The Department of Dermatology at University of California, Irvine is currently seeking applicants for a Clinical Research Specialist at the Assistant level to begin July 2021. This is a 1+ year vitiligo research fellowship position under the direction of Anand K. Ganesan, MD, PhD.
The Clinical Research Specialist will be involved as a Sub-Investigator in conducting industry-sponsored trials in vitiligo, coordinate a patient registry and repository for vitiligo patients, prepare IRB applications for investigator-initiated studies, and conduct investigator-initiated clinical trials and studies in vitiligo.
The specialist will be required to attend vitiligo clinics one day a week and to also assist with vitiligo-related procedures, including the Melanocyte Keratinocyte Transplant Procedure. The specialist is expected to attend weekly lab meetings in the Ganesan laboratory and contribute to translational research. Specifically, the candidate is expected to devote a significant amount of time to scholarly activities, which will include preparing manuscripts, mentoring residents, and mentoring medical students. Minimum Qualifications: Candidates should possess a master's degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates hold an MD or MD/PhD (foreign or US trained) . Experience in Dermatology and caring for vitiligo patients is preferred. Ideal candidates would be eligible to apply for a California License.
