The Learning and Organizational Development (L&OD) Consultant is responsible for designing and facilitating learning, leadership and organizational development solutions that align to the Instituteâ€™s strategic goals and support its business outcomes.Â The role works as a project manager and lead facilitator for Managing@DFCI as well as the suite of stand-alone learning sessions.Â The role promotes the HR vision â€œto be partners in shaping an inclusive and innovative culture that empowers our people to drive scientific discovery and deliver extraordinary cancer care for patients and their families.
This position is located in Boston, MA, and the selected candidate must be available to work partially onsite every week.Â
Develops, oversees, facilitates and supports internal/external development programs such as â€˜â€™Managing@DFCI,â€� Team/Department sessions and/or retreats.Â Takes the lead on creating avenues to sustain the learning beyond participation at a session/program.Â Acts as a critical resource within HR, partnering across departments to brainstorm, design and/or curate content for solutions/initiatives aimed at increasing effectiveness. Utilizes project management capabilities and tools to keep efforts within scope, time and budget.Â Develops and maintains vendor relationships to support additional facilitation needs.Â
Lead on Key Department/Institute InitiativesÂ
Serves as senior facilitator and/or L&OD Team Lead on efforts such as the FY21 Engagement Survey and Dynamic Workforce Experience Team.
Provides change management support for client groups to further the transformation of the clientsâ€™ culture, increasing its ability to meet current and future business challengesÂ Utilizes project management capabilities and tools to drive the work forward.
Participates in the implementation of the DFCI Inclusion, Diversity & Equity strategy to attract, engage, develop, and retain a diverse workforce across DFCI.Â Facilitates conversations and programs that build connections among our diverse workforce.Â Collaborates with HR and leadership on effective programs and interventions to build engagement, resolve conflict, improve communications, and improve effectiveness of work teams.Â Models inclusive language, reflections and interactions that build credibility and impact for Inclusion and Equity initiatives. Incorporates ID&E mindset when developing and implementing all programs and services.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
5 years of demonstrated success in Leadership Development, Inclusion/Diversity and/or Organizational Development
Experience in academic/health care environment preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Knowledge of diversity, inclusion and equity principles, including unconscious bias and inclusive leadership
Knowledge of end to end project management experience
Knowledge of LMS based learning
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; blended learning expertise with Adobe Captivate or Articulate Studio (a plus)
Strong organizational skills
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Skilled in all facets of emotional intelligence
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
Ability to build and to maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization
