The University of Texas at Arlington Office of Human Resources is looking for two seasoned HR professionals to join our team. The person(s) selected for these positions will be members of the HR senior leadership team and report to the Chief Human Resources Officer. These roles will be responsible for providing strategic guidance and overseeing the daily performance and workflow for multiple HR functions. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, Employee Relations, Compensation, HRIS, Benefits, Employment, Training & Development and Absence Management. The Executive Director will mitigate risk for the organization while supporting the CHRO in creating an engaging and inclusive environment for staff, faculty and students.
(1) Provided day-to-day oversight of HR functions and assist the CHRO with translating the HR strategic plan into execution deliverables to support operational performance. (2) Formulate departmental strategies, deliver HR initiatives and provide leadership to one of more of the following areas: Employee Relations, Compensation, HRIS, Benefits, Employment, Training & Development and Absence Management. (3) Build and maintain positive relationships with executives, management staff and employees in general; partner with other areas (e.g. University Communications, Finance, OIT) to ensure coordinated support for HR efforts. (4) Develop workflows, policies and procedures for continuous improvement of the HR organizational effectiveness and overall operations. (5) Develop, innovate and adapt Human Resources practices and solutions to address the needs of UTA’s evolving organization. (6) Perform additional duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration or related field and ten (10) years of experience in general human resources management and five plus (5+) years of senior HR leadership experience, including design, development and implementation of effective organizational strategies and plans, compensation and benefits programs, employee relations and training and development. A record of performance at the executive level with evidence of measurable outcomes;
Master’s degree or applicable experience preferred. Ten plus (10+) years of HR leadership experience overseeing all aspects of HR ranging from employee relations, HRIS, compensation, benefits, employment, compliance and training and development.
Experience in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures, formulating policy and developing and implementing new systems and processes.
