The Application Administrator supports the development, maintenance, and implementation of software applications. The Application Administrator delivers administrative support on a defined set of technical initiatives proposed for implementation. This role helps to facilitate the operational effectiveness and growth of a best-in-class, leading-edge organization. This role is responsible for the management, configuration, installation, maintenance, upgrade and support of critical business and ITS applications such as, but not limited to:
Informatica Intelligent Cloud services Data Integration, Application integration, Data Quality and Master Data Management.
Reporting and Visualization applications: Tableau, IBM Cognos Analytics, IBM TM1 Planning Analytics, Laserfiche.
DataFlux data quality application.

The candidate for the position of Application Administrator must meet the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as a computer science, computer information systems, etc., or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in information technology, cloud applications, or higher education.
Strong experience in the design, architecture, and implementation of SaaS and on-premise software applications.
Strong experience with web-based, multi-layered enterprise applications.
Experience with issue tracking and ticketing systems.
Experience with vendor management, particularly for issue escalation and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to the software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology.
Experience working in a project-based environment with strong planning and execution skills.
Good knowledge of networking and security concepts and frameworks.
Ability to understand and work with large, complex IT systems.
Strong ability to communicate both detailed information and high-level summaries to key stakeholders.
Ability to develop positive working relationships and a strong rapport with team members and stakeholders.
The ideal candidate for the position of Application Administrator meets the following qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field such as a computer science, computer information systems, etc.
More than four years of experience in information technology, cloud application or higher education.
Demonstrated expertise with Informatica Cloud Services administration and configuration (Data Integration, Application Integration, Data Quality, Master Data Management, Data Catalog), DataFlux, Tableau, Laserfiche, IBM TM1 Planning Analytics, IBM Cognos Analytics.
Experience developing and managing best practice policies and procedures.
Experience executing IT project from inception to completion with minimal supervision.
Experience with cloud computing, window and VM set-up.
Experience managing application credentials and active directory.
Ability to comply with pertinent policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements.

The Application Administrator:

Monitors application status and perform configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of applications, support and resolve issues related to those applications. Aligns all activities to existing ITS and university policies, processes, and procedures. Creates and maintains thorough documentation to track configuration settings. Assists with user and group access to applications.
Ensures application uptime meets or exceeds defined service-level agreements (SLAs). Collaborates with co-workers and across departments to resolve issues affecting customers. Empathizes with and advocates for the customer point-of-view. Identifies priorities and presents solutions while keeping the customer in mind.
Learns and adapts quickly to new situations, changing priorities, and disruptive technologies.Â Â Participates in the innovation process and contributes to continuous improvement efforts. Research and leverages the latest industry knowledge and takes the initiative to experiment with new ideas and technologies.
Continually develops new skills, knowledge, and abilities to maintain currency with developments in supported applications and architecture. Consistently aligns department activities with industry best practices.
Analyzes problems by performing root cause analysis exercises. Identifies, recommends and implement solutions for problem resolution and prevention. Engages vendor support to leverage expertise. Monitor application usage and compliance.
