The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) is an individual with specific knowledge and technical skills to assist the Registered Nurse in providing care for a designated group of patients.Â The LVN utilizes the Nursing Process to provide therapeutic care to a specific population of patients, and does so under the direction of the Registered Nurse.Â
Minimum Education:â¢Graduate of a Nursing Board approved LVN Program.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢2 years experience in a health care setting preferred.Required License/Certification:â¢Valid California Licensed Vocational Nursing License. IV certification preferred.â¢Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider card from the American Heart Association required.
