Under the supervision of the Laboratory Information System Manager, the IT Analyst, Laboratory Systems, will work with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors and Health Science Campus leadership to design, develop, implement and make operational laboratory information systems.Â This incumbent will identify and document information technology design specifications based on analysis/assessment of user needs and generate need-gap analyses.Â This person will use sound knowledge to generate and develop system scope and objective, analyze and evaluate existing or proposed systems and devise or modify procedures to solve problems using data processing.
Minimum Education:â¢Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience or certifications.Minimum Experience/Knowledge:â¢3 or more years of Cerner PathNet GenLab and Blood Bank Millennium experience including system design, documentation, maintenance, upgrades and troubleshooting highly preferred. â¢Experience in a Clinical Laboratory in a healthcare setting required; blood bank experience a plus. Required License/Certification:â¢Fire and Safety Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire, and maintained by renewal before expiration date.â¢Must have and maintain one of the following licenses/certifications:oClinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)oAmerican Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)oAmerican Medical Technologist (AMT)
