University of Southern California Counseling & Mental Health (CMH) is pleased to announce 1 additional Postgraduate Fellowship positions in Social Work or Masterâs in Family Therapy for the 2021-2022 academic year. The position is a full-time, 12-month appointment, specifically providing clinical services to the universityâs student population. This position will have a split clinical experience working at CMH as well as Relationship and Sexual violence Prevention Services (RSVP). The duties include providing individual psychotherapy, crisis intervention, outreach and prevention, and psychotherapy groups for USC students at CMH and RSVP. Other responsibilities include providing supervision and training to pre-graduate trainees.
The fellowâs responsibilities with RSVP will include providing short-term and long-termÂ (6 months or longer) trauma-informed and trauma-specific therapy to USC undergraduate or graduate students who are survivors of gender-based violence and harm, e.g., sexual assault, intimate partner violence, stalking, dating violence, sexual harassment, etc. We are particularly interested in therapists who have worked with male survivors, LGBTQ+, and BIPOC and gender-based violence survivors.
The postgraduate fellow must have a masterâs degree in Social Work or Marriage and Family Therapy and will be working under the supervision of a California licensed Clinical Social Worker or California Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.Â Strong clinical skills and experience are required. Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds is essential. Organizational skills, follow through, flexibility, openness to feedback, and ability to work independently in a responsible manner are all essential to this position.
