The Department of Ophthalmology and Roski Eye Institute at USC is currently seeking an outstanding candidate for a full- time, non-tenure track, Assistant Professor of Research Ophthalmology faculty to conduct research focused on the development and application of prototype ophthalmic imaging technologies to study pathophysiology and improve diagnostic/therapeutic evaluation of ocular and systemic diseases. The candidate will actively participate in ongoing research projects for assessment of retinal oxygen metabolism, and neurovascular coupling, characterization of microvascular hemodynamics in ocular and systemic diseases.Â The laboratory provides an invigorating, collaborative, and productive work environment. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in optical imaging and image processing methodologies, with a strong publication record, excellent analytical and communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary research team.Â The candidate should hold a PhD in engineering or sciences, and be creative, responsible, and highly motivated.
