USCâs Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy invites applicants for a full-time clinical track faculty position to provide outpatient clinical services in our physical therapy department at Keck Hospital of USC. This position includes direct patient care responsibilities for multiple populations with an emphasis in the cardiovascular and pulmonary service line. This outpatient service line is involvedÂ in assessing and making recommendations forÂ patients prior to heart/lung transplant as well as rehabilitating these patients post-transplant. We also treat a multitude of other cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions including cystic fibrosis, idiopathic lung disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, scleroderma, andÂ pulmonary hypertension. Program development will be a focused component of this position and there will also be opportunities for lectures, teaching, clinical research, and mentoring.
The Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy has a strong reputation for excellence in physical therapy education. We are seeking an individual with a doctoral degree in physical therapy, preferably with two yearsâ experience treating patients with cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions.Â Experience managing patients in the outpatient setting is preferred. Board certification is preferred. Individuals with a Masterâs degree will be considered if they have at least three years of relevant experience and expertise.
