We are seeking a Research Associate (postdoctoral researcher) for a research project focusing on the metabolic effects of cannabinoids. The project uses mouse models. The successful candidate will design and conduct in-vivo laboratory experiments; publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals; and submit applications for research funding. This is a one-year, full-time position, with a possible one- to two-year extension, based on funding and performance. The salary and benefits will be commensurate with NIH standards.
Applicants must possess a PhD, MD/DO, MD/PhD or equivalent degree with graduate-level training related to biobehavioral health disciplines such as neuroscience, psychology, endocrinology and physiology, and have demonstrated research excellence.
Excellent scientific writing ability and strong communication skills.
Self-motivated, ability to work independently and effectively with colleagues.
Background in cannabinoid, immune, obesity, or diabetes research.
