Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
Location: Hyde Park Campus
Collects data, conducts complex statistical analysis, writes statistical software programs, and organizes the presentation of results.
Assists with writing, editing, and preparation of working papers, citations, literature reviews, and other documents.
Creates charts, tables, and descriptive text for the Stigler Center Faculty Director, the Stigler Center publication ProMarket, and other Booth faculty.Â
Maintains databases, reviews background materials, and performs preliminary research.
Coordinates research tasks with research assistants and interns.
Staffs and supports Stigler Center workshops, programs, and activities.
Assists in preparation of teaching material and course packets.
Maintains technical and administrative support for a research project.
Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literature reviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and other documents.
Performs other related work as needed.
Bachelorâ™s degree in economics or a related field such as statistics, mathematics, finance, or computer science.
Training in economics through the intermediate theory level.
Training in econometrics and mathematical statistics.Â
At least one year of research or other directly related experience.Â Â
Work with packages such as, STATA, SAS or a programming language such as C.
Write web programs (i.e., Perl or other data downloading programs).
Handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Work independently as well as with others and meet deadlines under pressure.
Problem solving skills and eagerness to take on challenges.
