The Institutional Advancement Administrative Assistant will provide administrative, event planning and logistics support, research and writing support to three teams within Institutional Advancement: University Events, Donor Relations, and Corporate and Foundation Relations.
In a fast-paced, high-visibility environment, the individual will need experience with project management, database entry, graphic design, marketing, event planning, research and writing, and general administrative duties. In this position, the individual will work with a variety of departments throughout the university system in supporting efforts around event planning, donor relations, and corporate and foundation relations.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or similar fields.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively within team structure.
Must have the ability to prioritize work effectively and efficiently to meet department deadlines.
Event planning experience.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, designing surveys, Office 365 and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
Willingness and aptitude to learn new technologies as needed including apps for event planning and execution and donor databases.
Open to collaborating, brainstorming about events or office processes.
Must possess high quality standards, strong attention to detail, be results driven. A great sense of humor is a plus!
