Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a highly motivated Temporary Research Assistant for the Department of Medicine – Infectious Diseases within the New Jersey Medical School.
The primary purpose of the Temporary Research Assistant is to, under direction of the Principal Investigators, assist primarily with COVID-19 low-risk clinical trial studies.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Assists with enrolling and consenting patients for low risk clinical studies.
Obtains noninvasive clinical samples from participants.
Performs initial sample processing for storage or testing.
Performs data entry for clinical trials.
Assists with maintenance of supply inventory.
Assists with study visit preparation and reminder calls as needed.
Participates in NJMS Research meetings as requested.
Minimum Education and Experience:
College Diploma or equivalent required plus experience in research or other professional employment.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Exceptional people and organizational skills and attention to detail as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to manage independent projects and meet deadlines.
Prior experience working on an interdisciplinary team.
