1. Plans, develops, implements, and directs a program of mental health screening, brief consultation and counseling, wellness, and referral/navigation services for Yale medical students. 2. Serves as liaison to YSM Office of Student Affairs and the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. 3. Conducts phone, Zoom, or in-person screening/triage assessments of students to determine appropriateness of services offered by program versus immediate referral to YH MHC. 4. Establishes positive relationships with students in order to provide the appropriate level of consultation, support, and services. 5. Facilitates family meetings with permission of student and when appropriate. 6. Maintains and reviews health and wellness charts for each student and follows all confidentiality regulations. 7. Develops materials for educational programs and seminars and provides mental health outreach to the YSM community. 8. With student release of information and when clinically indicated, communicates with members of the YSM community, external agencies, concerned family members and significant others. 9. May perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Education: Experience working in a higher education counseling center/student mental health setting. Knowledge of Yale educational or student support services.
