The Stem Cell Processing Laboratory (SCPL) Clinical Laboratory Scientist Specialist (CLS) is responsible forprocessing and cryopreservation of cellular therapy products (CTPs), and associated assays and tasks as described in theJob Standards. These are highly complex, non-repetitive procedures required to ensure the daily operation of the SCPLand to maintain licensing and accreditation. Participation in the quality plan and clinical trial processing is required.Other duties assigned as needed.
Depending on experience of the selected candidate, this position will be hired at the CLS or CLSS level.
Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
Two (2) years of applicableclinical laboratory experience.
Less than two (2) years experience qualifies as CLS level; Two (2) + years of experience qualifies as CLS Specialist.
Must possess strong math skills.
Must have manual dexterity.
Demonstrated ability in teaching, criticalthinking and problem solving.
Excellent communicationskills, including the ability to communicateclearly verbally and in writing.
Degree in Medical Technology from aNAACLS accredited MT program.
Recent consecutive experience in aStem Cell Processing, Blood Bank orHematology Laboratory or equivalent.
Must be able to work all shifts, week-ends, holidays, overtime and at various locations as necessary in accordance with operational needs.
