1. Oversee day-to-day operation of the Olympic Sports equipment room to include supervision of assistants, graduate assistants and student managers as necessary. 2. Assist the Assistant AD for Internal Operations on budgeting for all equipment matters. 3. Ensure athletic equipment is properly set-up, cleaned, packed, transported and stored for practice and games, both home and away games as requested. 4. Advise and assist Olympic Sport Head Coaches and Assistant AD for Internal Operations with equipment and Adidas apparel ordering processes. 5. Maintain and manage sport equipment and Adidas apparel vendor relationships. 6. Assist with Athletic Department shipping and receiving and manage department central receiving office. 7. Maintain detailed inventory records for all equipment and Adidas apparel, with emphasis on Olympic Sports. 8. Responsible for managing Olympic Sports locker and equipment room areas and for monitoring and advising on the security of these facilities. 9. Complies with all applicable National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and Southeastern Conference (SEC) regulations in the performance of job duties. 10. Performs related duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in related field with two (2) years of experience in athletic equipment room management with good knowledge of sports equipment and apparel used for all sports.
Certification or Licensure Requirements: Commercial Driver's License eligible; must be certified by AEMA or working towards certification.
Experience beyond the minimum Knowledge of inventory tracking system, preferably Helmet Tracker
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Ability to work long and irregular hours. 2. Ability to travel. 3. Ability to work in extreme weather temperatures.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion. Often exposed to one or more elements such as heat, cold, noise, dirt, chemicals, etc.
Job frequently requires walking, standing, lifting, sitting, reaching, talking, hearing, and handling objects with hands.
Requires handling of heavy weight objects up to 100 lbs. on a regular basis and on occasion up to 150 lbs.
