This position is responsible for customer service in the Bursar's Office by answering multiple telephone lines, greeting people if they enter area, and answers complex fee related questions. This position answers questions related to Financial Aid, Parking Services, Registrar, Registration, Housing, Auxiliary Services, Admissions, Graduate Studies, On-line/distance learning classes and fees, as well as differential fees, etc. This position assists with various audits and back-up audits in the department, including Returned Checks, Cash Flow over $10,000.00, Bankruptcy (to make sure Bill Code set), Students with Housing Penalties assessed, etc. This position assists with other departmental duties as assigned.
Answering multiple phone lines and assisting callers with routine questions pertaining to fees, financial aid and other related questions and transferring calls to appropriate staff, as needed.
Logging in all forms of payment, including fee payment, scholarships, 3rd party billing, Plus Loans, Mocs Card, Perkins Loans, parking, communication, etc., and distributing payments to appropriate individuals or departments.
Auditing and balancing TMOC vs. CBORD reports and performing various departmental audits.
Assisting with releasing parking decals, preparing statements to be mailed and mailing or faxing tax information to students.
Contacting other departments to pick up their checks.
Printing and Faxing Argos Detail Code Reports to departments.
Directing external persons to correct departments.

High school diploma or GED is required. Some college or business school training is preferred. Must have 1-2 years of experience in office setting. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal and telephone skills are required. Strong organizational and communication skills are necessary. Must have experience and skills using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Must be knowledgeable with a high degree of accuracy in various office skills. Ability to operate various office machines (computers, fax, copier, etc.) preferred.
