The University of Tennessee College of Medicine seeks nominees and applicants for the position of Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery on the main campus of the Health Science Center in Memphis, TN. This is a part-time, non-tenure position. The successful candidate will possess leadership abilities, professionalism, administration skills, and management abilities. They must have a proven record in administration and management, be able to budget staff space and other resources. The Chair will oversee all activities of the Department of Neurosurgery. We seek a recognized leader with a superb academic background, including strong clinical and research credentials. The Chair is responsible for management of the educational program (health professionals, graduate and postgraduate), and research activities of the department. MD degree or equivalent
Practicing member of the Semmes Murphy Clinic in Memphis, TN
Board-certified in neurosurgery
Licensure as a Physician in TN
