The Critical and Acute Care Division within the Department of Surgery at the University of Minnesota is seeking a qualified individual for a full-time academic or clinical track (clinical) position as Assistant or Associate Professor. Rank will be determined based on the qualifications and experiences of the selected candidate. This position is dually employed by the University of Minnesota Physicians (UMP).
Caseload will include trauma, surgical critical care, and general surgery cases. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills general surgery with responsibilities to include:
Participating as the attending staff in one or more of the intensive care units associated with the Division
Participation as a Surgeon or Intensivist at one of our partner facilities
Teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows
Full participation in departmental activities including but not limited to grand rounds, CEU quality meetings, Promotion and Tenure committee meetings, and faculty meetings

MD degree or equivalent
Must have or be able to obtain board certification in Surgery and Critical Care
Must have or be able to obtain a Medical License in the state of Minnesota
