Drake University's College of Arts & Sciences invites applicants for an Adjunct Instructor position in Chemistry for the Fall 2021 semester. Essential duties include teaching an Analytical Methods course for chemistry majors and the corresponding laboratory component. The individual will evaluate student performance and assign grades, and interact with students through class discussions. Successful candidates will have a Ph.D. or advanced ABD in analytical chemistry or related field. Evidence of demonstrated effectiveness in teaching at the university level, and continuing professional development is preferred. This is a one semester position starting in August 2021, with a possible extension to the Spring 2022 semester to teach first - year general chemistry course.
