The College of Arts and Sciences is looking for a highly skilled, organized, and detail-oriented writing professional to craft a variety of correspondences. This position will support strategic communications efforts by creating strong written content for print and digital distribution. This includes content for the college's departmental webpages (events, student spotlights, etc.), feature stories, press releases, and marketing materials, brochures, newsletters, fundraising letters. The Writer will write to various external and internal audiences, including alumni, donors, and the University of South Carolina's community. The Writer will generate compelling stories and complete other communication projects as assigned by the Director of Communications and/or the Dean of the College. Finally, the Writer will assist with media relations and social media, podcast transcripts, video captions, etc. This position will require someone with strong research skills, superb editing skills, and someone that can deliver excellent quality work.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 1 year professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or Bachelor's degree and 3 years related experience.
