The Administrative and Project Specialist provides a wide range of executive and project support, advancing and coordinating the work of the Finance Division. The position works closely with the VP and the Finance Leadership Team to drive the overall organization, ensuring critical meetings, activities and events are designed to advance University priorities and maximize the VPâ™s time, including setting agendas; engaging key leaders and constituencies; ensuring adequate preparation and support; tracking progress and necessary follow up; and developing associated communications.Â The position functions as a central point of communication for the Finance Division, and works closely with the Vice President for Finance and Chief Financial Officer and Finance Leadership Team members to ensure open communication within the division.
The Administrative and Project Specialist designs and manages special initiatives for the Finance division as needed.
Bachelorâ™s Degree with at least 5 years of related experience, preferably in an academic environment, or equivalent combination of education/experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
Exceptional attention to detail, proactive nature, ability to multi-task and work well both independently and as a member of a team
Professional demeanor with the ability to project a positive image and represent the Finance Division
Excellent computer skills:Â Â expertise in Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Docs, PowerPoint, and other information management/database programs
Excellent organizational skills
Proven project management skills
Possess a willingness and ability to support and promote a diverse and inclusive campus community
