-Manages University environmental compliance, laboratory safety and occupational safety and health programs at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center Campus and for all University facilities.
-Responsible for implementation and oversight of the University’s Hazardous Waste Management plan and ensuring it’s compliance with latest regulatory requirements. - Coordinates and supports University academic and administrative staff to oversee the laboratory safety program, specifically material disposal. - Assists Facilities Operations staff in managing the Rose Hill Air Emissions (Title V) permit. - Develop and provide occupational safety and health program management for Facilities Operations staff at Rose Hill and Lincoln Center campuses. Manages administrative tracking and reporting for it. - Supports Facilities Management staff in reviewing and identifying potential project and maintenance related environmental and occupational safety hazards. - Provide oversight of the University’s Hazardous Materials Management Plan. Prepare hazardous materials inventory reports as required by city, state and local authorities. - Periodically inspects and reports on compliance at University facilities.
Possess three to seven years experience in higher education facilities, hospital, or light manufacturing management with a unionized labor environment. - Certified Industrial Hygienist and/or Certified Hazardous Materials Manager certification preferred.
