Position Summary: The Administrative Assistant supports the director and office staff to perform their professional duties effectively; maintains oversight of daily office and center operations and records; coordinates professional and center calendars, orders supplies, arrange travel, makes room reservations, and other day-to-day office business; assists in budget management and payment of services; schedules and oversees student workers and their time entry. This position provides a culturally responsive approach to support student recruitment and retention efforts and other duties as assigned by the Director of Multicultural Affairs.
Minimum Qualifications: Demonstrated Experience in: Office management and support functions; Working with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds; historically underserved populations and/or under-represented domestic; Composing a variety of business documents.
Ability to: Effectively represent the office and institution both on- and off-campus; Prioritize and organize multiple duties and responsibilities; Accurately process, organize, and present data; Think critically, act independently and exercise initiative, maintain confidentiality;
Knowledge of: Familiarity with University of Idaho policies and procedures; Banner finance/student/human resource modules; Budgeting and Accounting processes;
Experience in: Updating websites
