Adjunct faculty members are responsible for effectively planning and teaching courses in a classroom/virtual/clinical environment to students with a variety of academic backgrounds and experiences. Major responsibilities consist of clinical instruction of nursing students. This will include practice lab settings and student clinical rotations. Courses are taught at the Portsmouth Campus, with clinical rotations at affiliated healthcare facilities in the region. All faculty members must be skilled in oral and written communication and must be able to work cooperatively with other staff members.
Must be a registered nurse who holds a current, unrestricted license in Virginia or a multistate licensure privilege. Requires minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience. Master's Degree in Nursing
