Dept Marketing Statement Student Health and Wellness and Risk and Safety Services have collaborated to create and manage COVID-19 Testing Kiosks across the UCSC campus serving both staff and students. Student Health and Wellness is a full service medical facility offering clinical, educational, and psychological services. Risk and Safety Services provides leadership and coordinates multidisciplinary services to sustain a safe and healthy campus by managing injury and loss and coordinating access, emergency response and recovery.
The COVID-19 Testing Kiosk Student Supervisor will provide support for the COVID-19 Asymptomatic Testing Project Kiosk Program by supervising on-site operations, which include set-up and break-down of space, management of on-site materials, supervision of student staff, and management of program participants.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule Salary Information: $23.36 / Hourly
Help student staff manage participants' behavior or issues that may arise
Prepare samples for analyses. Prepare specimens for examination by professional personnel
Provide general guidance and advisory on questions or issues that may emerge during operational hours
Ensure compliance with COVID-19 safety mitigations during operations for participants and student staff
10% - Setup/Breakdown of Space for Operations
Unlock and lock facility
Coordinate with student workers to ensure testing site is set up and meets all health and safety standards including set up of individual testing stations
Oversee student workers in the cleaning of the site and individual kiosk stations
Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma and three years of laboratory experience or two years of college including courses in the natural, physical or social sciences and two years of laboratory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position
Leadership skills associated with managing challenges and conflict, and overseeing student employees
Skills to effectively supervise student staff in performance of regulated functions
Strong analytical and organizational skills to organize, prioritize and manage the successful completion of tasks as well as successful management of inventory
Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with frequent interruptions
Written communications skills sufficient to communicate in a professional manner
Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and at all levels of the organization
Effective verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to be flexible
Selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal history background check.
Ability to lift/move tables and chairs with or without accommodation.
Ability to work safely in areas where hazardous materials are present or stored.
