The candidate must have a good understanding of the management of operations and supply chains, the use of information systems in business, as well as basic knowledge of data analytics.
The teaching load is an equivalent of four MIS/OM/BA courses per semester. In addition to teaching, the candidate will be expected to engage in research and professional activities appropriate for the rank and to the extent required to meet the College's Faculty Qualification Standards for Clinical faculty. The candidate will also be expected to engage in appropriate service activities in the Department and College.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
The Department is particularly interested in candidates whose academic backgrounds and professional qualifications span MIS, BA and OM. Prior teaching experience in one or more of these areas is preferred. Other desired requirements include an ability to contribute to diversity initiatives.
Candidates for this position must hold either a Ph.D. or Doctorate in MIS, Operations Management, Business Analytics or a closely related field. Hiring rank will depend on educational qualifications and experience.
To be initially appointed to this position as a Clinical Assistant Professor/Clinical Associate Professor, a candidate must present evidence of success in business, professional or academic practice, potential for or evidence of past effective teaching and research, and potential for a successful academic career.
