Position Summary: The Department of English at the University of Idaho seeks to hire two full-time temporary lecturers to teach composition and/or creative writing classes. These are non-renewable, nine-month (academic year) positions with a 4/4 teaching load at upper-and-lower-division undergraduate levels.
Minimum Qualifications: M.A. in English or M.F.A. in Creative Writing. Two years experience as a teacher of composition and/or creative writing in the University of Idaho Department of English Masters program. Completed and passed English 501 from the University of Idaho.
Preferred Qualifications: A record of exemplary teaching, as evidenced by teaching evaluations, syllabi, and other course materials. Additional training (beyond the introductory pedagogy course) in rhetorical and/or composition theory and pedagogy.
