The Dental Health Center seeks to find a Orthodontic Dental Assistant who provides quality dental care to patients. They will practice four handed dentistry, prepare operatories for the required procedures, organize and coordinate patient charts and paperwork, and provide exceptional customer service utilizing good interpersonal skills.
Prepare patients for procedures which includes delivering patient personal oral hygiene instruction
Prepare various dental material such as cement, etc.
Take impressions and bite registrations. Take impressions and trim plaster models for labs & presentations
Fabricate orthodontic retainers like Essex and splints
Remove excess cement from brackets and orthodontic bands-Remove and replace ligatures
Pre-select orthodontic bands, separator placements, and bracket set-ups- -Place brackets, and place and remove wires.
Manage, track and schedule lab cases
Take intra & extra oral photographs-Take cephalometric and panoramic radiographs of diagnostic quality
Record accurate procedural documentation (chart notes) in the patient's chart
Answer phones, schedule appointments, greet patients if needed due to shortage of coverage.
Navigate the computerized record-keeping and charting system
Products and supplies- purchase, re-order, and keep accurate inventory
Practice and adhere to OSHA and Safety compliance standards-Clean, sterilize and set up treatment rooms in a timely manner-Disinfect, and sterilize instruments for re-circulation
1-3 years of experience and Tech or Vocational training required.

Medical Clearance Process: Medical Clearance Process: includes Occupational Health evaluation and immunization/titer level review. Must be eligible to receive required vaccinations as needed
References: We require 2-3 professional references (no friends or family) with at least 1 previous supervisor.
