Job responsibilities include:
Marketing and communications strategy: Directs the strategic marketing and communications planning and execution for the College. Determines marketing priorities based on defined objectives, audiences and messages. Ensures alignment with university brand standards. Develops and maintains an editorial calendar for story, social and marketing content. Oversees the development and implementation of paid marketing and media buys, web design and development. Works collaboratively with the brand team in the University's Office of Communications and Public Affairs on shared priority projects. Provides communications council to the College's faculty, staff and administrators.
Content Production: Uses a strategic approach and adherence to university content and brand guidelines, creates a variety of cross-channel marketing materials including feature stories for web and print, social media posts and infographics, news releases and op-eds, newsletters, video scripts, collateral and photography. Has a proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and is knowledgeable about social media scheduling platforms.
Public Relations: Enhances the academic reputation of the College through strategic media relations activities that promote faculty research and expertise, an exceptional student experience, and successful alumni through internal (student news on campus) and external print, broadcast, and online media locally and nationally. Identifies and cultivates faculty and provides media training and support as needed. Effectively uses the University's media management and news distribution software.
Event Promotion: Creates, executes and assists with event promotion plans for the College based on industry and university best practices.
Supervisor: Directs the activities of and provides counsel and guidance to the College's web developer and graphic designer.
Communications Leadership: Serves as the College's representative on the University's Communications Council and as a member of the University's Communicators Network. Serves as a collaborative partner with communications managers among the University's academic and administrative units.

Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Master's degree and 2 years professional experience related to the development and dissemination of informational material, or Bachelor's degree and 4 years related experience.
