The Recruiter participates in the development and execution of a comprehensive admissions and student recruitment program, with specific emphasis on adult students who may currently be unemployed, underemployed, and/or seeking to build job skills. The Recruiter participates in all College related student recruitment initiatives and works to build and strengthen partnerships with Union County agencies including but not limited to the: Union County Department of Human Services (DHS); Urban League of Union County, Inc.; and Union County Workforce Development Board. This key position also assists prospective applicants with the admission process and opportunities at Union County College. Under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Services, the Recruiter will partner with the College's CCOG Director and will assist in the College's New Student Orientation program. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities:
Develops and coordinates on and off campus activities with business and community agencies associated with the recruitment, continuation, and growth of adult student enrollment.
Offers Admissions appointments at all campus locations and offsite partner agencies.
Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of new recruitment and enrollment strategies specifically tied to Union County workforce development.
Responsible for recruitment travel to community agency locations, community events, as well as business and industry.
Maintains a broad understanding of marketing as it relates to the recruitment of traditional recruitment funnel and various student populations including nontraditional, part-time, and full-time students.
Manage aspects of the College CRM systems, which support the effective/efficient management of the College’s initiatives in the areas of recruitment, marketing, and admissions processing and track statistics, gather data, and write reports.
Under the direction of the Director, executes an overall enrollment recruitment strategy towards team and individual goals to meet enrollment goals for the College.
Provides information to prospects, applicants and students via telephone, email, website, walk-in visits and other strategies.
Coordinates outreach efforts with the Offices of Admissions/Registrar, Financial Aid, EOF and others.
Provides prospective students with general financial aid, career and college admissions information.
Provides individualized and group information and counseling to prospective students regarding the college enrollment process.
Responds to all inquiries regarding Union County College programs.
Other related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Adult student recruitment experience preferred.

This position's duties are normally performed in a typical interior/residence work environment, based on the activity scheduled.
Some physical effort required; however, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
