We are seeking a highly motivated, organized, and reliable laboratory technician to join an energetic multi-disciplinary research team. The position involves carrying out general laboratory maintenance and performing experiments for translational research studies in cardiovascular pathophysiology. Although not required, some bench lab experience is preferred, including robust pipetting skills and experience making buffers and solutions. A biology background is required. Qualified candidates would work in a newly forming, tight-knit research team spanning various training levels, disciplines, and degrees focused on understanding mitochondrial biology, genetics, and metabolism in cardiovascular physiology and disease.
A BS or BA in a biology-related field is required. Work experience includes some basic lab research skills including buffer preparation, pipetting low volumes, maintaining a lab notebook, and sample cataloging. This experience is preferred but not required.
